Lake St. Louis – Budget Heating, Cooling & Plumbing had their annual Family Fun Day Saturday at Boulevard Park in Lake St. Louis.
Employees of the St. Peters based small business spent the day playing games, eating barbecue, and enjoying each others company.
This is the company’s third annual Family Fun Day, and this years festivities included a snow cone truck, yard games, and a bouncy castle for the kids.
Employees were encouraged to bring members of their families to come out and enjoy the day’s activities.
Though, the day was about more than just fun and games.
Family Fun Day’s Community Benefits
Budget hosted a raffle that gave away a Yeti Cooler, an iPad, and a Philips 4K smart TV – donated by Gateway Winnelson, East Coast Metals, and York – all in the name of a great cause.
The money that came in for the raffle items will be donated to The Joseph Groh Foundation, which helps provide financial support to those in the HVAC/construction industries who have suffered spinal cord or other life altering injury or illness.
“It’s important to us to support those that give back to our trade,” said Amy Davis, Vice President of Budget Heating, Cooling & Plumbing. “Joseph Groh is an fantastic example of a skilled trade worker that was faced with a challenge, yet chose to overcome and strives to better lives of others in our industry.”
Budget’s employees and families helped raise $446 for the foundation, but the donations for the nonprofit did not stop there.
Budget made the decision to match the donation allowing a grand total of $892 to be donated to The Joseph Groh foundation.
