Budget Really Messed Up My AC

Terrence was great, but it ends up that Budget called back and called him incompetent, saying they would like to send a "more competent" person to assess our AC. Budget was contracted under HSA Home Warranty but did not understand their coverage. The 1st tech, Bo, charged us $340 for refrigerant that was covered under warranty (Terrance knew this), and it ended up Bo should have checked for leaks on the 1st visit two months ago, but he said HSA restricted him to only fill the refrigerant and wait. If Bo had known HSA's policy (he claimed to be an expert), it would have saved us two months of this garbage. The operators have constantly tried to blame me or HSA for my problems, when it ends up that they should have fixed the problem back in April. Now I am without air through the 4th of July weekend, Budget has admitted they made a mistake, but has done nothing to make it right other than to commit to a warranty covered replacement (what they are set to do anyways) in four hot summer days. They refuse to get us a hotel and expect my wife and two children to live in a 90+ degree house through the weekend.

The Moen Posi-Temp 1222 cartridge cost $39.00 at Home Depot...$38.95 at Amazon. The problem I had wiith the handle not shutting off the water at the bathtub faucet required a new cartridge. This Moen faucet was less than two years old. Mr. Ford your technician/plumber was very nice. Your business should not be called Budget Plumbing. I have owned five properties...I never experienced a handle not shutting off the water. I watched the work which was done...it is a 30 minute job...possibly less. So $69 to step in the door and diagnose the problem fine. The part cost $39 online...so I understand your company charging $60 as mark-up for the part. My bill was 319.00! Your charge to me to replace the cartridge and conduct a 5 minute water pressure check was $190! Watch the Moen Youtube video on replacing the cartridge...20 minute job. I feel the charge should have been $200 at most. It ended up being a ridiculous total fee...pure money-grab. I would never recommend your business to anyone who needs emergency plumbing service.

Upon inspection I found that the nut for The tailpiece pipe was cracked. Replaced the tailpiece gasket and nut along with the crossover pipes nuts and gaskets. Checked for leaks. OK.

Plumber, plumbing, water heater repair. Upon arrival customer stated that their water heater wouldn’t work but a few mins after lightning the pilot light. Upon diagnosis I found that the intake air screen was dirty. Removed the burner assembly and vacuumed out the combustion chamber, intake screen and underneath where the air comes in. Put burner assembly back in, fired up water heater, waited for 10 mins, and flames are a nice blue color. Set gas valve on B setting. OK now.

Unplugged and plugged back in the igniter, got pilot to light, waited 25 second, pilot stayed lit. Turned gas valve on and set it on B. Watched flame and it’s burning a nice blue flame. Stayed by water heater for about 10 mins and listened to burner. Working properly now.

Added hard stat. All kicked in. Pressure 110 and 310. Added one pound 410 with Leak stop. Pressure now 118 and 345. System cooling. Recommend cleaning every couple weeks.
