The recipient of the 2017 Service World Woman of the Year award is Amy Davis from Budget Heating, Cooling & Plumbing in St. Peters, MO.

Amy Davis Woman of the Year

Davis has been in the HVAC industry for 11 years. She began her career as a dispatcher. From there Davis moved up, and became a customer service representative.

Early Work With Budget

In 2009, after years of working in the HVAC industry, Daniel LaGarce, owner of Budget Heating, Cooling & Plumbing, decided to start up his own HVAC company and immediately partnered with Davis to come work for his newly founded business. LaGarce has known Davis for 21 years, and knew the quality of work she could bring to the table.

“She is irreplaceable.” LaGarce proudly stated. “The work she performs can easily go overlooked, but is vital to the daily operations of the business. Those who aren’t behind the scenes may miss the incredible work she does with customer service and with our financials.”

Davis initially began at Budget doing accounting and financial work, but her vast role has covered everything from customer service to working as a mentor to the younger employees. Three years ago Davis took on the role as Budget’s Vice President, and hasn’t looked back since.

“It’s simple,” LaGarce said. “The company would not run without her. We would go out of business because the bills wouldn’t get paid. The great thing about her is that she smooths everything over for us.”

Hard Work Pays Off

Davis prides herself on having a strong moral conviction. Honesty is a top priority for her. Being able to provide customers with professional, friendly service while being completely transparent is what she believes makes Budget the unique business that it is.

LaGarce says he cannot imagine where Budget would be today without their time working together.

“I cherish the relationship and friendship we have built over the years. That is what makes us unstoppable.”
