What is a Clean and Check?
Upon our technician’s arrival at your home, they will begin by inspecting your system disconnects. They will also check your thermostat, filters, contactor, and condensate lines to make sure everything is operating properly.
Next, our technician will test your capacitors and operations, clean and tighten all electrical connections, and test safety and limit switches. If your refrigerant levels are low during our spring visit, we will top off your system so that it’s functioning at peak performance.
During your fall check-up, our technician will clean the burners in your furnace, check the status of the heat exchanger, and inspect the pilot system. This will ensure that your heating system is operating safely and efficiently before the colder weather rolls in.
Lastly, we will turn on your air conditioner or heating system and let it run for a few minutes to confirm that it is working properly.
What Systems Does Budget Work On?
No systems are outside of our wheelhouse here at Budget, but there are some specific exceptions to the Budget Savings Club. Systems that are NOT covered by this plan are:
- Geothermal systems
- Mini-split systems
- Boilers
- Swamp coolers
- Window or wall units
- Oil furnaces
- Any unit that is in an unsafe location for our technician to perform their clean & check
How Does Maintenance Protect My System?
Your heating and cooling system is essential for maintaining exceptional indoor comfort in your home throughout the year, especially here in St. Louis where the weather can be extremely unpredictable. You may need heat one day and then air conditioning the next. These systems are complex and require regular professional maintenance to operate at their maximum potential. Not keeping up with regular maintenance could result in lower efficiency, higher energy bills, and potentially expensive repairs.
